Vogue Evolution, a New York City-based dance crew made up of four gay men and one transgender woman, is competing on this season of MTV's Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew.
"I'm basically here on ABDC to showcase my talent and to give strength to all trans people out there and to show the world that any- and everyone is talented, whether they're straight, gay, lesbian, bi, or trans, and they should never let anyone keep them from fulfilling their dreams," Leiomy Maldonado, the transgender member of Vogue Evolution, told the Boston Examiner's Matt Kailey on Aug. 7.
Vogue Evolution is the first openly gay dance group to be featured in the dance competition.
