Now this is why you need a cat to write book reviews. The usual human reviewer turns up his nose at anything that comes from a self-publishing outfit. Why so snooty? Self-publishers are way more dedicated than those pretentious tweed-jacket-and-book-contract types. At iUniverse, you pay $600 - $1300 to call yourself a published author. Now that's real dedication. As the good folks at iUniverse say, "we all have the makings of a book inside us." This is literally true in my case, because I like to chew on paper bags. I'm sure it's just an oversight that they don't promise there's "a good book" metastasizing inside us all. I mean, I'm guessing they don't have a proofreader on staff, if you get my drift. Anyway, this book is at least as good as some gay porn movies I've seen. Really, the "can I sleep here tonight" premise has been born again. But look out: this book is categorized as erotica but most of it is actually "a Southern coming out story." So if you're just reading because you have idle hands, skip to about page 100.
