Vancouver Fashion Week Returns Sept. 15-21

While New York City is on fire in anticipation of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, there is plenty of fashion headed to the west coast this month as Vancouver Fashion Week returns for its 13th year.

Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) is showcasing its spring/summer 2015 international designer collections throughout its weeklong celebration beginning September 15th, 2014 with its opening gala. Runway shows are scheduled September 16-21 at The Queen Elizabeth Plaza located at 649 Cambie Street. Designers from more than 30 countries will have the chance to showcase their wares in front of an expected 25,000 guests including industry professionals, buyers, celebrities, stylists and international media.

"We are so excited about this season's designer lineup," says VFW founder and producer, Jamal Abdurahman. "Every season, we strive to discover emerging designers who can showcase their work on an international platform."

France, Italy, Japan, India, Norway, Australia, Korea and Brazil are just some of the countries being represented by designers at this season's VFW, not to mention, the United States. Notable menswear collections to keep an eye out for include Andrea Lazzari, Pedro Victor, Shinya Yamaguchi, Vlad de Intunecare and George Styler, among others.
